In the fierce contest for the coveted position of El Paso Mayor, Renard Johnson stands tall with a commanding 57% of the ballots cast, while Brian Kennedy trails with 42%.
Turning to El Paso City Council District 1, Alejandra Chavez emerges as the frontrunner with a robust 63%, leaving Monica Reyes with 36% of the votes.
In District 3, Deanna Maldonado-Rocha is currently leading with 62%, while Jose Rodriguez holds 37%.
District 4 showcases a nail-biting contest where Cynthia Boyar Trejo leads slightly with 52% against Joe Molinar’s 47%.
Meanwhile, in District 5, Ivan Nino is taking a firm hold with 62% of the preliminary vote; Amanda Cunningham finds herself with 37%.
District 7 sees former Representative Lily Limon leading as well, with 58% of the votes counted thus far against Chris Hernandez’s 41%.
In the race for the position of Judge in the City of El Paso Municipal Court 4, Samuel Flores is edging forward with 51%, while Lauren Ferris is closely trailing at 48%.
Over in Socorro, District 4, Irene Rojas commands a strong 61% against Enrique Cisneros, who stands at 38%.

EL PASO, Texas (KVIA) — This Saturday, a wave of citizens is expected to pour into polling stations, eager to cast their votes in seven key city races, encompassing the mayoral position alongside five pivotal city council representatives.
The mayoral race, undoubtedly the epicenter of attention and financial backing in this election cycle, has captivated the electorate.
Among the races, two city council seats are contested for unexpired terms: District 5, previously held by Isabel Salcido, who vacated her post to pursue the mayoral seat, and District 3, now open following Cassandra Hernandez’s decision to enter the mayoral fray.
