In a thrilling development for the Kluang district of Johor, the region is set to unveil its inaugural extreme sports park, a project of vibrant ambition and anticipation. As the dust settles on plans, eyes turn toward the park’s anticipated completion by the second quarter of the coming year, a collaborative brainchild of Matrix Concepts Holdings Bhd and Motomarin Sdn Bhd, known as X Park.
Amidst the backdrop of a promising memorandum of agreement signing ceremony, Matrix Concepts’ co-chief executive officer, Chai Keng Wai, revealed a substantial investment of RM10 million allocated for this exhilarating venture, strategically positioned within the bustling confines of Bandar Seri Impian (BSI) township.
“We have engaged with the local council and received overwhelming support,” Chai expressed, excitement evident in his voice. “If all goes well, we aim to commence site clearing by the end of March, ultimately launching operations in the second quarter of next year.” The promise of this dynamic facility has sparked enthusiasm among the local community.
Chai also emphasized inclusivity, noting that the park would extend its welcome to residents of BSI and neighboring areas. “Special member privileges will exist for BSI homeowners, yet the park remains open to the public,” he elaborated, with the township housing an impressive population of at least 60,000 residents.
Echoing this sentiment, X Park managing director Rocky Siow conveyed his exhilaration regarding the renewed partnership, marking their second collaboration following the successful launch of X Park in Bandar Sri Sendayan, Negri Sembilan. “This venture paints a canvas where families and thrill-seekers alike can forge lasting memories,” Siow declared.
What delights await at this forthcoming park? Adventure seekers can look forward to an array of invigorating activities, ranging from go-karting and badminton to archery, basketball, and rock climbing. Adding a culinary twist, a golf driving range and several cafes promise to enhance the overall experience, making it not merely a park but a vibrant hub of leisure and excitement.
The event drew attention from notable figures, including Kluang MP Wong Shu Qi, who also chairs Talent Corporation Malaysia Bhd. In her address, Wong highlighted the multifaceted benefits the park brings to the region. “As infrastructure such as upgraded highways, the Electric Train Service, and the Rapid Transit System Link evolve, Kluang is becoming a nexus of connections, linking us closer to major economic centers like Johor Baru, Singapore, and Kuala Lumpur,” she articulated.
“This enhanced connectivity paves the way for economic diversification, tourism, and residential growth. The groundwork for the park aligns seamlessly with this trajectory,” Wong added, confidence radiating from her words. “Developments such as this signal that Kluang will increasingly attract new businesses, skilled talent, and lucrative investments.”
In essence, the dawn of Kluang’s extreme sports park heralds not just a new venue for recreation, but a transformative wave that promises to invigorate the local economy and community spirit.
