Milan Quentel stands as a distinguished Hoover Fellow at Stanford’s esteemed Hoover Institution. Engaging rigorously with the economic ramifications stemming from the transition to renewable energy, his work delves into the aggregate and redistributive welfare impacts of climate policies, striving to aid policymakers in crafting a climate transition that is both effective and equitable. Additionally, Quentel’s scholarly pursuits delve into the annals of espionage, harnessing Cold War historical data to refine contemporary counter-espionage strategies. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, Spain.
Steven J. Davis holds the title of Senior Fellow at the Hoover Institution and serves as a Senior Fellow at the Stanford Institute for Economic Policy Research. His expansive research interests encompass the intricate landscapes of business dynamics, labor markets, and public policy, and he provides guidance to the U.S. Congressional Budget Office, alongside the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Moreover, Davis co-organizes the Asian Monetary Policy Forum and is a co-architect of influential tools such as the Economic Policy Uncertainty Indices and the Survey of Business Uncertainty. He is also the host of the engaging podcast series “Economics, Applied,” brought to you by the Hoover Institution.
Erin Baggott Carter is another prominent Hoover Fellow, currently holding a position at Stanford University’s Hoover Institution. She is also an assistant professor in the Department of Political Science and International Relations at USC and acts as a faculty affiliate at Stanford’s Center on Democracy, Development and the Rule of Law. Additionally, she maintains a nonresident scholar role at the 21st Century China Center at UC San Diego. With a wealth of experience from various fellowships, she completed her Ph.D. in political science at Harvard University.
